龙华两馆（包含深圳美术馆新馆和深圳第二图书馆），是深圳面向新世纪建设的全新的文化艺术空间，两馆所在的龙华新区核心区是未来的城市公共活动中心。两馆之间的地下空间，通过下沉广场与南部的下沉空间连通，并将两馆地下停车空间连为一体。在地面层，将两馆之间设计为共享的步行广场，同时兼作美术馆的室外雕塑展场。充分依托两馆不同类型建筑的功能特质，以经济实用的原则确定适当的空间布局。在建筑形体上，美术馆以水平舒展的体量与图书馆的叠加竖向发展的集约体量形成对比。

Longhua Two museums (including the new Shenzhen Art Museum and Shenzhen Second Library) are brand-new cultural and artistic Spaces in Shenzhen facing the new century. The core area of Longhua New District where the two museums are located is the future urban public activity center. The underground space between the two pavilions is connected with the sunken space in the south through the sunken square, and the underground parking space of the two pavilions is connected as one. On the ground floor, the space between the two pavilions is designed as a shared pedestrian plaza that doubles as an outdoor sculpture exhibition space for the museum. Fully relying on the functional characteristics of the two buildings of different types, the appropriate spatial layout is determined by the principle of economy and practicality. In terms of architectural form, the art gallery is in contrast with the superimposed and vertically developed intensive volume of the library.
