盘龙城遗址是全国重点文物保护单位，也是武汉“城市之根”。设计构思强调“保护优先”的策略，即全面保护遗址本体及其所处自然环境，在此基础上推进遗址与周边历史及景观资源的整合发展。妥善利用基地现有的地形起伏，精心组织了不同高程的竖向设计。在步行流线设置上，实现人性化的步行系统创建，特别是组织了穿越建筑屋顶的公众流线，直接通达小王家嘴的考古发掘现场，有效整合了场地现有的历史文化遗存。

Panlongcheng Site is a national key cultural relic protection unit, and also the "city root" of Wuhan. The design concept emphasizes a "conservation first" strategy, which is to fully protect the site itself and its natural environment, and on this basis promote the integration of the site with the surrounding historical and landscape resources. Make good use of the existing topography of the base, carefully organized the vertical design of different elevations. In the setting of pedestrian routes, the humanized pedestrian system is created, especially the public routes through the roof of the building are organized to directly reach the archaeological excavation site of Xiaowangjiazui, effectively integrating the existing historical and cultural relics of the site.
