郑州商城遗址是中国早期规模最大的王都遗址，遗址位于郑州老城中心，周边环境混杂。设计构思强调全面保护遗址本体及其所处环境，但也避免在城市中心出现遗址景观“孤岛化”的倾向，着力推进遗址与城市空间的整合发展。以“天命玄鸟，降而生商”为理念，低矮的建筑体量水平延伸并与商代城墙遗址取得呼应，街区式分散的建筑布局与城市环境紧密融合。

Zhengzhou Shang Dynasty Capital Site is the largest ancient capital site in early China. The site is located in the center of the old city of Zhengzhou with a mixed surrounding environment. The design concept emphasizes the comprehensive protection of the site itself and its environment, but also avoids the tendency of "island" of the site landscape in the city center, and strives to promote the integrated development of the site and urban space. Based on the concept of "The celestial destiny of the mysterious bird, health and birth of commerce", the low building volume extends horizontally and echoes the ruins of the Shang Dynasty city wall. The block-style scattered building layout is closely integrated with the urban environment.
