婚礼堂选址位于鸡鸣岛最西端临近悬崖的一处平地之上，以“山海盟”为建筑设计理念，在狭小的用地内营造了极具纪念性的建筑空间。建筑整体采用木纹模板清水混凝土现浇而成，由菱形渐变为正三角形的几何体，与海岛上的海草民居遥相呼应。婚礼堂是一座“场景化”的建筑，旨在通过简洁的建筑体量、极小的空间尺度、极简的结构系统，将人类瞬间的情绪与永恒的情感凝聚于建筑的方寸之间。

The wedding hall is located on a flat land near the cliff at the western end of Jiming Island. With the architectural design concept of "Mountain and sea alliance", it creates a monumental architectural space within the narrow land. The whole building is made of cast-in-place wood-grain formwork fair-faced concrete, which gradually changes from diamond shape to equilateral triangle geometry, echoing the seaweed dwellings on the island. The wedding hall is a "scene-oriented" building, aiming to condense human's instant emotion and eternal emotion into the building's square inch through simple building volume, minimal spatial scale and minimalist structural system.
