西藏美术馆是对原拉萨市水泥厂进行的再生设计，作为集收藏、展览、研究、交流、教育等于一体的综合型美术馆，西藏美术馆是向世界展示西藏文化艺术的重要场所。总体设计以“喜马拉雅的钥匙”为理念，强调空间共享与整合。在功能组织上，结合工业遗存布局的分散特征，形成主展馆、艺术家驻留创作基地、艺术互动体验区、艺术长廊等四大分区。在空间组织上，充分利用工业建筑的空间特征和潜力，形成特色鲜明的在地空间体验。

Tibet Art Museum is a regeneration design of the former Lhasa Cement Factory. As a comprehensive art museum integrating collection, exhibition, research, communication and education, Tibet Art Museum is an important place to show Tibetan culture and art to the world. The overall design is based on the concept of "Key to Himalaya", emphasizing space sharing and integration. In terms of functional organization, combining with the scattered characteristics of the layout of industrial relics, the main exhibition hall, artists' resident creation base, art interactive experience area and art gallery are formed. In terms of spatial organization, it makes full use of the spatial characteristics and potential of industrial buildings to form distinctive local space experience.
